BetOnDroid 4.1.10, the latest update to our Betfair Exchange Android trading app, is now available. This release adds user control over background sessions, brings tennis live scores into the orders view, and ships several stability fixes
Background Mode Is Now User-Controllable
Earlier versions kept the Betfair API session alive through a foreground service whenever the app was running. That behaviour was always-on. In 4.1.10, it’s a setting.
The new Allow run in background option lets users choose whether the app keeps the Betfair login session alive while the device is not in use. Enable it for uninterrupted multi-hour sessions; disable it where battery life matters more. Default behaviour matches previous versions.
Tennis Live Scores in Orders
Live scores were already available during navigation football and basketball Matched and Unmatched order. With 4.1.10, the same in-app live score display now extends to tennis in the Matched and Unmatched orders tabs. Set/game/point score is shown alongside open tennis orders – no need to switch tabs to check on a match.
Better Orders View
- Group headers now show turnover and liability on Matched and Unmatched tabs
- Cancelled bets group headers show total cancelled size
- A new 1-hour time-period filter added on Matched and Unmatched tabs
Performance and Bug Fixes
Price ladder memory usage reduced further; rendering performance improved on rapidly updating markets.
Fixes in this release:
- P&L calculation on Asian Handicap quarter lines (±0.25, ±0.75) and Handicap Totals
- Out-of-memory crash when re-entering a market from the background
- Invisible bottom sheet tab labels in dark theme
- Crash when runner catalogue was missing on the market info screen
- Display of market prices when navigating events
- Crash when saving market screen state on foldable devices
How to Update
If you already have a recent version installed, BetOnDroid checks for updates once a day. When a new release is ready, you’ll see a notification on your device:

Tap the notification, confirm the standard Android install prompt, and you’re on the new version.
Or download manually:
Install the new APK on top of your existing version — settings and login credentials are preserved. Distribution is direct from this site, not through Google Play (see Is BetOnDroid Safe? for context on why).
